Field Operations covers on-site activities: labor management, equipment tracking, safety monitoring, and daily logs. Access field operations features under Field Ops in the navigation menu.

Safety Dashboard

Navigation: Field Ops → Safety Dashboard

Features

• Safety Overview: Track safety incidents, near-misses, and toolbox talks
• Incident Reports: Log and track safety incidents with details
• Safety Metrics: View safety KPIs (days without incident, incident rate)
• Compliance Tracking: Monitor safety training and certification status
• Daily Safety Logs: Record daily safety observations

Logging an Incident

1. Navigate to Field Ops → Safety Dashboard
2. Click "Report Incident"
3. Fill in incident details:
   • Date & Time: When the incident occurred
   • Type: Near Miss, First Aid, Recordable, Lost Time
   • Project / Location: Where it happened
   • Description: What occurred
   • Personnel Involved: Workers involved
   • Corrective Action: Steps taken or planned
4. Submit the report

Safety Metrics

Metric	Description
Days Without Incident	Consecutive days with no recordable incidents
Incident Rate	Incidents per 200,000 hours worked
Near Miss Ratio	Near misses reported vs. incidents
Training Compliance	Percentage of workers with current certifications

Navigation: Field Ops → Equipment & GPS

Features

• Equipment Registry: Complete list of all company equipment
• Location Tracking: See where each piece of equipment is deployed
• Assignment History: Track which projects equipment has been allocated to
• Maintenance Schedules: Upcoming and overdue maintenance alerts
• Utilization Reports: Equipment usage and idle time tracking

Managing Equipment

• View the full list of tracked equipment and tools
• Click any equipment item to view its details and location history
• Update assignment when equipment moves between job sites
• Log maintenance activities and service records

Resource Dashboard

Navigation: Field Ops → Resource Dashboard

Features

• Team Overview: See all field personnel and their current assignments
• Availability View: Identify available workers for scheduling
• Skill Tracking: View worker certifications, skills, and training records
• Allocation Planning: Plan resource allocation across projects

Daily Logs

Navigation: Field Ops → Dashboard (available from Field Ops main dashboard)

Creating a Daily Log

1. Navigate to the Field Ops dashboard
2. Click "Create Daily Log"
3. Record for the day:
   • Weather Conditions: Temperature, precipitation, wind
   • Workforce Count: Number of workers on site by trade
   • Work Performed: Summary of activities completed
   • Materials Used: Key materials consumed
   • Equipment Used: Equipment deployed on site
   • Visitors: Inspectors, owners, etc.
   • Safety Notes: Any safety observations
4. Submit the daily log for record keeping

Tips & Best Practices

• Report all near-misses — they help prevent future incidents
• Update equipment assignments when anything moves between sites
• Complete daily logs every day — they're invaluable for disputes and claims
• Keep certifications current and track them in the Resource Dashboard
